Boujad rugs are most commonly found in hues of red, pinks and oranges however purples and blues can also be found at times. The can be high or low piled – or something inbetween. Traditionally they are colored using natural dyes and more vintage styles will appear more pastel in color.
Azilal rugs are the modern art version of Moroccan rugs. They are bright-colored and playful. Ideal for someone that loves color and isn’t afraid to embrace it. They typically have a lot of colors which make them a great way to add a punch of personality to a room that might otherwise be monochrome. Diamonds and lines play heavily into the design of Azilal rugs. Traditionally much of the symbolism was meant to record family histories. Today some rugs still do this.

Basic care:
Natural raw wool may contain small fibers during weaving. Over time, these threads/fibers will rise to the surface - they can be lightly sucked out. No need to panic - fiber loss is normal with new wool rugs and will fade over time. Vacuum once a week.

At AfricanCreates, every custom rug is a true labor of love — handmade by skilled Moroccan artisans using time-honored techniques passed down through generations. Because each piece is crafted from scratch to meet your unique vision, the processing time for custom rugs can take up to 3 months.
We believe in honoring the artisanal process. Quality takes time, and our commitment is to deliver a piece of art that reflects both authentic craftsmanship and timeless beauty.
Once your rug is complete, it will be shipped via FedEx or DHL Express. Delivery typically takes 7 business days worldwide, and you'll receive tracking information as soon as your order is on its way.
Return & Exchange Policy
We take great care to ensure your custom rug arrives safely and in perfect condition. If your rug arrives damaged, please contact us within 15 business days of delivery, and we will gladly accept a return or arrange a replacement.
Due to the made-to-order nature of our custom rugs, returns are not accepted for any other reason. However, if the rug arrives in good condition but you would like a different model or size, we do offer one-time exchanges. Please note that return shipping costs will be the buyer’s responsibility.
